I would like to hear more about nutrition when working out. I have read and heard many things about what you should and shouldn't eat as well as how often. I think it depends on your level of fitness and what you are doing; cardio verses weight training or a combination of the two. I have trouble balancing carbohydrates and protein. Thank you!

  • Alison

I am looking for simple, easy to follow (not necessarily easy to do) lower ab exercises that are truly effective.

  • Donnalicious

I would love to here more about getting started in the fitness industry. I am quite new to being a Personal Trainer. I worry people will ask me stuff i don't fully know yet. You have to start somewhere right, right?

  • cendedoll

Leg lifts are really good for the lower ab but my favourite to date is the pilates stretches/exercises that have effectively elongated my torso creating lean and indented 6 packs. Don't forget that your diet plays a large part in this so fi you are eating lots of fatty food it will settle somewhere!!
    Good luck.

Wow..What a Body!! Holy Sh%$#!!… I totally want to hear what she has to say and what you both say together.. Sorry to hear about the neg comments.. those come from an insecure place..they see her body as unattainable and feel defeated and want everyone else to feel as f%$#ed up as they feel. I mean……. that body…… Kristy is pretty incredible.. and although I know I won't have a bod like hers.. I can still try……Rita

  • Gwenda

Could you just get to the point, too much “jibe” too much”yap” to much “blurb” i dont have time to read the “spin” A professional doesnt need “spin”.
Are the public that stupid or is that your interpretation?

I'd like to hear your show address stretch marks and cellulite. I'm a 40 yr old mom of 3 children, one of which is a critically ill child. I went back to college and obtained an associates degree in respiratory therapy, and now i'm enrolled in an RN program. My special needs child has faced 13 surgeries so far, with the 14th coming up this next tuesday. I am a diabetic, so weight loss is difficult. Although I'm not overweight at 137 lbs (and 5'7″ tall) I have stretch marks and cellulite that make me want to CRY every time I look in the mirror. Time is so limited for me, but I do make time to regularly exercise, but the diabetic “balancing act” makes it much more difficult to lose the cellulite and flab that I do have. I'd love to hear any tricks of the trade you might know. Our family just moved to central FL (for our special needs child to be seen at Shands UF), so to see all the beautiful FL women in their bikinis…well, for me it's devastating. I'd just like to feel confident in a bathing suit after all these years.

I really need help everywhere! I love the lower body DVD's-the second one is really hard! I would like to add arms to the leg workouts because it is too time consuming to do one leg workout that is one hour long, 4 or 5 days a week and then add more exercising for abs and arms. Can you imcorporate some ab and arm exercises into the lower body workouts? Looking forward to all you have to offer!

  • JoeyAtlas

Hi Gwenda – sorry this venue doesn't fit your needs…

This is here for MANY people (not just one) – and it's also FREE… If it doesn't work for you, and doesn't fit into your 'schedule' – no hard feelings… Nobody is forcing you to be here.

All the best on your journey…

Hi Joey, loved your talk. Just tell people like Gwenda to shut up.
I have a desperate question: How can I stop dieting on Monday
and end up binging by Thursday?
I am starting to hate myself.
    Please help

  • Julsie

Kristy you are gorgeous and i aspire to look like you! Joey you always have great ideas and advice on different exercises, i love you videos, I am going to school become a personal trainer and a group fitness instructor and l i love getting advice from those who have been in the business for years! I have a thirst to learn and enjoy all your topics, good luck!!!

  • Alison Lewis

    Hi Joey, Hi Kristy,
I've only just read the comments from last week's post and will say just one thing. As soon as I saw the videos when the post first came out, I logged on Kristy's website to find out more about this 'wonder woman' lol. As I expected, I loved what I saw and am signed up to a 12 week program with her and after one week we are getting results already! Thanks Kristy, I find you nothing but inspirational 🙂
I respect very much how the two of you have handled the feedback from the post and can't wait to see what you have in store for us with the F-Train.
I would love to see some discussion on nutrition, your feelings around carb and calorie cycling and meal suggestions (like what you guys eat! 😉
    Thanks guys,
    Ali

    Hi Ingrid,
I just read your post and it hit a chord with me, I had to reply. HANG IN THERE! Don't hate yourself. I have issues with overeating, binging and hating myself so much that I started labeling myself a food addict. It comes down to you, no one else can do it for you but it is so so hard. I have tried many things, writing down my goals (this really does help), keeping a food diary (I got lazy though lol), removing all trigger foods from the house (hard when you don't live alone) but it's what I'm doing now that really excites me. I have signed up for a 12 week program with Kristy and as well as helping me with my training, I have to log my food everyday. Being accountable to someone else is a very powerful tool, and when you're paying for it, it adds an element of not wanting to waste your money too. Kristy is supportive, intelligent and passionate about her 'craft' and as this is working for me, after reading your post I just had to contact you and let you know about it.
Goodluck Ingrid – you will be amazing.

Dear lady, I know what you are saying about the cellulite etc. and I sure hope Joey can address it for you, but you have my admiration as a woman for being there for your children, and going to school as well. Beauty is in the soul and what you do, as well as what you see in the mirror. Hang in there, and know that you are amazing!!

  • Judy

Can I firstly say as a fellow Aussie, well done Kirsty to what you have achieved over the years , I feel exhausted just thinking about it.
I have been following you Joey now for a couple of years & have some of your DVDs & I have really appreciated the format of these DVD's & your great style.
You both say that all will be revealed in the future about the programme you want to deliver , so I do not want to judge you on something I don't know about yet. I am sure that you will be providing something for everyone , so I will wait & see.
I also would like to know along with another poster about how you tone down a “Menopausal stomach ” [ after not having a stomach before!!] I'll look forward to your emails in the future!!

    Hi Joey

This is my first ever comment and it basically directed to you personally, so no need to post it for all eyes to see. I respect all trainers, etc. and this is in relation to one that's really focused on the sugar content or should I say the lack of sugar… his eating plan consists of limiting it to 15 grams a day. I opened the Prograde website and read the ingredients in the bars you recommend and they totally surpass that amount. You recommed a small banana, etc. and there again is like the max of sugar grams recommended and although you both have the same idea in natural stevia sweetner, etc. I continue to see your recommendations exceed his recommended (limited) sugar grams on this eating plan again totally respect both health professionals, but your comments please.

  • JoeyAtlas

1 – there are less than 15g sugar in each of the flavors – not more than 15. …dbl check that… Not sure which part of label you looked at.

2 – 15 grams of sugar per day is too low in my opinion. Doesn't work for me – and most people I coach.

3 – so a small banana is off limits??? …not in my book. 🙂

    Thx!
    Joey

  • Hi there! I just want to jump in and add my thoughts here (I hope you don't mind!)

I generally recommended that consumption of 'added' sugars contribute less than 10 percent of your total caloric daily intake. Remember that sugars occur naturally in certain foods such as fruits, vegetables, and milk … that should be a part of our everyday diets. These sugars are fine (in my opinion) because they come with a 'packaging' of valuable minerals, vitamins, and phytochemicals. It's the sugars that are added to the processed foods (the sugars that come without providing any nutrients) that you want to try to limit.

    I hopes this helps?

  • Oops! I meant 'I recommend', not 'I recommended' … need to work on my English!! 🙂

  • Amy

    Hi there,

I have slow returning-venous circulation in my legs, it's a vascular problem. I'm 38 and had it all my life.
Although I don't have major varicose vain problems, my ankles and legs in general get bloated, and I have a lot of cellulite on my thighs and butt.
I'm looking for ways to get rid of the cellulite I have in the front thighs (in addition to back thighs and butt).
Also, I'd love to know if there is anything I can do to help the bloating of ankles and legs, which is not only a major aesthetic issue but also an energy level one, because my legs feel heavy.
Thanks SO much for any advice!

  • Not only you, i am also curious to do lower ab exercise. Sounds easy but it is difficult to do lower ab exercises. I know that it would be effective but i am looking to bring “lower body DVD’s” which learn how to ab exercise as well and get lower body as fast.
